Public lineups talk about roles, not a single damage number. A July 31, 2025 ranking and an October 13, 2026 lineup table give the same five names the top band: Sans, Asriel, Mettaton NEO, Undyne the Undying, and Papyrus. That agreement is not a playtest after the October 12, 2026 experience update. There were no patch notes on the listing. Use the roles to cover a leak, then replace anyone who is not doing that job in your match.
Roles those lineups assign

A July 2025 ranking also placed Frisk in support and healing, Toriel in support and area damage, Alphys in buff support, and Mad Mew Mew as a situational hybrid. The October 2026 table did not repeat those four. They are not on this site's letter board for that reason. Frisk still has a unit page because an older Underpass video showed a Frisk form.
A squad that can finish a hard wave
You want four jobs filled, not five famous names:
- Something that hits a clump.
- Something that kills a high-health enemy before the next wave.
- Something that stands in front if enemies reach the defense.
- Something that slows or groups, if the damage is missing moving targets.
The October 2026 notes say Asgore, Muffet, and Mettaton EX can hold those jobs until the five top names are obtained. Froggit, Migosp, Loox, Snowdrake, Ice Cap, Jerry, and Moldsmal were described there as units that fall off after the earliest waves. Jerry is the exception with a 2024 job: an August 10, 2024 gauntlet tour called Jerry a distraction that helped Gauntlet and a Genocide act. That is a stall tool, not a damage carry.
What not to copy blindly
No public damage table from October 2026 was found, so this page does not rank anyone by DPS. Dust Sans is several 2024 event forms, not one slot in this table. Prestige Sansta was a Christmas showcase in a January 2, 2026 upload and is not in the October 2026 five.
